Restoration Coordinator
Location: Saginaw, MI
Contract: 36 months
Schedule: 40 Hours
Pay: $22-28/hour, DOE

Restoration Coordinator Qualifications: 

  • Associate Degree - Business or related field
  • MS Excel proficiency- Workers need to know how to add or remove information from Excel and modify formulas associated.
  • SAP proficiency- This role accesses Front and Back office of SAP. This role requires access and knowledge of various transactions for reporting in SAP, creating orders in SAP and viewing orders.
  • Attention to detail- This role is tracking damage to customer’s property created by client field employees. They must pull up the assignments in SharePoint, review SAP front and back office for orders. This is all tracked by individual assignment. They determine whether damage was done.
  • Communication    - This role requires daily communication with various cross functional departments such as OM&C Field Leaders and Field employees, vendors, contractors, Engineering, Customer Service, Customer Account Managers, Scheduling/Dispatch and Forestry.
  • Expert in customer service and negotiations- The Restoration Coordinator works directly with our customers and local government. This role covers gas and electric operations and the various departments within (service, distribution/lines, EMO, EIRP, Forestry, cathodic, and meter reading) which all have reported damages to customer’s property. They determine whether damage was done, negotiate cash settlements to customers, create orders and schedule the order with CE’s approved contractor.
  • SharePoint- All job aids, spreadsheets, Schedules etc. are stored in SharePoint.
Restoration Coordinator Responsibilities: 
  • Schedule and manage restoration orders and requests. Assign the order to appropriate contractor based on capacity and order type, monitor on time completion rates of the orders.
  • Meet with customers, municipality inspectors and vendors at work sites to plan restoration projects. Research and resolve informal and formal complaints related to property restoration. Manage cost for repairs and negotiate cash settlement agreements.
  • Plan restoration jobs by researching permitting needs and insuring proper permits are secure for restoration work. Pre-notify municipalities and local government of upcoming restoration work in their areas. 
  • Create orders in enterprise resource planning software and create spreadsheets for tracking contractor assignments and performance reports
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with all vendors/contractors to discuss schedules, capacities and status of work assigned. Addressing any customer/municipality complaints, safety issues and contractor performance/expectations
  • Manage property restoration contractor purchase orders and requisitions and review invoices for accuracy. Work with contractors to resolve invoice discrepancy. Approve or deny requests for added scope of work. 
  • Investigate restoration claims made by customer/municipality of lawn, walkway and road damages done by client and contractors crews. Research orders and gather information from the customer/municipality and the field in order to approve or deny claim.
  • Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary
